The New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche had a heated battle Friday night in the NHL, with the Rangers coming out on top, 2-1 in a shootout. The jabs didn't stop when the players left the ice as the Avs Cale Makar decided to take a verbal one at New York goalie Igor Shesterkin.

With around 40 seconds left to go in overtime, Shesterkin stoned Makar on an excellent chance that would have won the game. Makar apparently didn't like the save, and shot the puck towards Shesterkin after the final buzzer sounded in OT, which caused a scrum in front of the net. Once the game had officially ended, Makar essentially called Shesterkin a showboat.

"I mean, for me, I just walked over to the slot, made a good shot and I mean he'stheir goalie is all about the show, so it went straight in his glove and nice little windmill there, so," said Makar, with plenty of sarcasm in his voice.

Interesting to see some apparent hate between the reigning Norris and Conn Smythe winner, and the reigning Vezina winner.
