According to longtime New York sports' writer Larry Brooks, Rangers forward Filip Chytil is to miss at least a week to a suspected concussion.

Per the NY Post, Chytil received an elbow to the head from Columbus Blue Jackets center Cole Sillinger. He left the game, not to return.

Chytil, 23, has become a key component of the Rangers' bottom-six, so they may start to feel his absence should this turn into a prolonged affair. In 6 games so far this season, the kid from Czechia has managed three points, which would put him on pace for a career high in points, for what it's worth. In NY's 20 playoff games, Chytil scored seven goals; only Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider totaled more.

Concussions are one of the worst injuries an athlete can sustain, as the range of complications is so great. Hopefully, for Chytil and the Rangers this is a mild case, and he is able to return sooner than later without issue.
