According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Vancouver Canucks have decided to release defenceman Danny DeKeyser from his professional try-out contract (PTO).
In three appearances with the Canucks during the pre-season, DeKeyser had no points and four shots on goal. He'll now become an unrestricted free agent once again.
DeKeyser, 32, became a UFA in the summer after spending the first ten seasons of his career with the Detroit Red Wings, who signed him as a free agent out of college in 2013.
The Detroit native skated in 59 games with the Red Wings during the 2021-22 season, recording 11 assists, 26 penalty minutes and was a minus-eight.
