Last season and even earlier this season, CSKA Moscow head coach and Hockey Hall of Famer, Sergei Fedorov, deployed an interesting tactic when his team headed to overtime.

Instead of going with the normal three-on-three, Fedorov would pull his goalie after his team got possession of the puck, to give CSKA the advantage in the extra frame.

While it's extremely unlikely that we'll see this be used by any team in the National Hockey League, it appears that the strategy has intrigued other teams in the KHL.

During Friday's game between AK Bars Kazan and Dinamo Minsk, AK Bars Kazan head coach Oleg Znarok pulled his team's goalie in overtime to give them the four-on-three advantage.

With the extra man, former NHLer Alexander Radulov ripped the shot past Dinamo Minsk goaltender and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Alexei Kolosov to give AK Bars a 3-2 overtime win, their third victory of the season.

Check out Radulov's goal and subsequent celebration in the video below.
