Montreal rookie-tryout John-Parker Jones needs to separate himself from the chaff if he wants a shot at making in the Habs' organization. He is doing a great job so far, catching everyone's attention now.

Jones lined up New Jersey's second-overall pick Simon Nemec, knocking the Slovak's helmet from his head, and accepted the challenge from Devils' prospect Nikita Okhotiuk, who is also seeking to make an even grander impression on Tom Fitzgerald after fighting his son in the AHL last season. It was an impressive sixty seconds for John-Parker Jones, who most recently played at the University of Windsor, scoring 7 points in 15 games.

Canadiens' GM Kent Hughes absolutely noticed the rookie hopeful now, and if he keeps it up, Jones could grind his way into an AHL contract.
