The Edmonton Oilers announced on Sunday morning that they've agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $1.25 million with unrestricted free agent forward Mattias Janmark.

Janmark, 29, spent the 2021-22 season with the Vegas Golden Knights. In 67 games with Vegas, he tallied 25 points (nine goals, sixteen assists), 21 penalty minutes and was a plus-three.

The Danderyd (Sweden) native joined the Golden Knights in April 2021 from the Chicago Blackhawks in a three-way deal involving the San Jose Sharks. Prior to the 2020-21 season, he spent four seasons with the Dallas Stars.

The Oilers have $69,000 in cap space available for the 2022-23 season according to CapFriendly, and have four restricted free agents still to sign. Those players are Jesse Puljujarvi, Ryan McLeod, Kailer Yamamoto and Tyler Benson.
