The tenth overall pick in this year's draft has put pen to paper on his entry-level contract. The Anaheim Ducks announced that defenceman Pavel Mintyukov has agreed to terms on a three-year contract.

Mintyukov, 18, spent the 2021-22 season in the Ontario Hockey League with the Saginaw Spirit. In 67 games, the 6'1" blueliner recorded 62 points (seventeen goals, 45 assists), 28 penalty minutes and was a minus-fourteen.

The Moscow native was ranked sixth among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting in their final list leading up to the draft in Montreal. Mintyukov was the fourth defenceman taken in the draft, following Simon Nemec, who went second overall to New Jersey, David Jiricek, who went sixth overall to the Columbus Blue Jackets and Kevin Korchinski, who was taken seventh overall by the Chicago Blackhawks.
