On Saturday, the Minnesota Wild announced that 2022 first-round pick (nineteenth overall), Liam Ohgren, has agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract.

Ohgren, 18, split time between Djurgardens IF in the Swedish Hockey League and their junior team during the 2021-22 season. In 26 SHL games, he tallied two points (one goal, one assist), six penalty minutes and was a minus-seven.

With Djurgardens-Jr, The Stockholm native showed scouts what he's known for, his goal scoring and offensive production. In 30 games in the Swedish junior league, Ohgren had 58 points (33 goals, 25 assists), six penalty minutes and was a plus-41.

The Wild will more than likely loan Ohgren back to Djurgardens IF for the 2022-23 season and allow him to develop over there. He'll likely play a sizable role for Sweden at the World Juniors in December.
