The Buffalo Sabres' development camp is in full swing and on Friday, the team announced that they've signed their three 2022 first-round picks. Matthew Savoie (ninth overall), Noah Ostlund (sixteenth overall), and Jiri Kulich (28th overall) have agreed to terms on three-year, entry-level contracts with the Sabres.

"I just think, really the top NHL teams, they have good centermen," general manager Kevyn Adams said. "And we feel that we added some good talent to our lineup. And we'll be patient. We're not gonna be in a spot where we're gonna rush anyone. We're gonna let these guys develop."

Savoie, 18, had a solid year in the Western Hockey League with the Winnipeg Ice. In 65 regular season games, he put up 90 points (35 goals, 55 assists), 32 penalty minutes and was a plus-54. The St. Albert (Alberta) native went on to add twelve points in ten playoff games.

Ostlund, 18, split time between Djurgarden's junior team and the main team in the Swedish Hockey League. In eleven SHL games, he didn't record any points or penalty minutes and was a minus-two. While in 32 games in the Swedish junior league, the Stockholm native had 42 points (nine goals, 33 assists), six penalty minutes and was a plus-30.

Kulich, a native of Kadan (Czechia), played in the Czech Extraliga with HC Karlovy Vary. In 49 regular season games, Kulich had fourteen points (nine goals, five assists), four penalty minutes and was a plus-seven. In the playoffs, he had one assist in three games.
