According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, the Los Angeles Kings have reportedly agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with Adrian Kempe. LeBrun added that the Kings will make the news official on Saturday.

The 25-year-old was about to become a restricted free agent this summer. Kempe was selected by the Kings in the first round (29th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Kempe, a native of Kramfors (Sweden), has spent the last five and a half seasons with the Kings after parts of two seasons in the AHL. He had a career year during the 2021-22 season, recording 54 points (35 goals, nineteen assists), 46 penalty minutes and was a minus-two. Kempe added six points (two goals, four assists) in seven games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
