According to Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun, the Toronto Maple Leafs have added NHL veteran Matt Moulson to their scouting department, signaling the end of his sixteen-year professional hockey career.

Moulson, 38, appeared in 650 games in the National Hockey League for the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres (two stints) and the Minnesota Wild. In those 650 games, Moulson tallied 369 points (176 goals, 193 assists), 122 penalty minutes and was a minus-42.

The North York (Ontario) native last played in the NHL with Buffalo during the 2017-18 season. Most recently, Moulson spent the last three seasons, two as captain, with the Hershey Bears, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Washington Capitals.
