The Colorado Avalanche had the opportunity to win the Stanley Cup on home ice on Friday night, but thanks to an Ondrej Palat third period goal, the series is now extended by at least one game.

During Game 5, there were some questionable calls and non-calls from the officials and when asked about it post-game, Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog shrugged it off, telling reporters that the team is focusing on Game 6. He added that if the Lightning want to continue criticizing the officials, they can go right ahead, but his team won't.

"I'm not going to get into that," Landeskog said. "That's something they can continue to do, but we're not doing that."

The subtle jab Landeskog made is likely referring to Jon Cooper's comments following Game 4 on Wednesday night. In overtime prior to Nazem Kadri's game winner, it appeared that the Avalanche had six players on the ice. Cooper kept his post-game presser brief saying that his heart breaks for the players because he believed they should still be playing. Flash forward 48 hours and his team managed to stave off elimination and force a Game 6 back in Tampa Bay.

Puck drop for Game 6 on Sunday night is set for 8 p.m. ET on CBC and Sportsnet in Canada, ABC and ESPN+ in the United States.
