On Friday, the Vancouver Canucks announced a number of additions to their Hockey Operations department. Among the additions General Manager Patrik Allvin has made includes Dale Tallon joining the Canucks as a Senior Advisor and Professional Scout.

"We're pleased to have solidified our Hockey Operations department for next season with the promotion of Ryan Johnson and the additions of Scott Young, Frank Golden, Dylan Crawford and Dale Tallon," said Allvin. "These individuals bring immense experience and are committed to the vision we have in building the Vancouver Canucks to be a winning franchise."

Tallon, 71, has had a long off-ice career in the National Hockey League, spending parts of twelve seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks (four as GM) and ten as the General Manager of the Florida Panthers.

The Rouyn-Noranda native will bring a lot of experience to Vancouver's front office and will provide insight for General Manager Patrik Allvin, who was appointed to that role back in January.

The first big step for Tallon and the rest of the front office will be the 2022 NHL Entry Draft in Montreal on July 7th and 8th. Vancouver currently holds the fifteenth overall pick in the first round.
