"After games in the former Phoenix and the current Arizona Coyotes, Colorado, San José and Ottawa, Mikkel Bødker, once in Frölunda's business, is now back in Swedish hockey.

Sportbladet can reveal that the 32-year-old Dane with over 700 NHL matches on the merit list strengthens HV71 for the coming season."

Boedker, 32, spent parts of eleven seasons in the National Hockey League with Phoenix/Arizona, Colorado, San Jose and Ottawa, amassing 327 points (118 goals, 209 assists) in 709 career games.

The Brondby native left the National Hockey League in 2020, signing a contract with HC Lugano in Switzerland. With the NHL not going to the 2022 Winter Olympics, Boedker suited up for Denmark, who were making their Olympic debut.
