For the first time in his 18 year career, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury will be a free agent come July 13th. That is, of course, if Minnesota doesn't make him an offer or he decides to wait to see if there's a better one. If he doesn't sign with the Wild, Fleury will likely have a few teams to choose from, and while playing in a golf tournament in his him province of Quebec this week, he said that's something he's really looking forward to.

"It's the first time I've had the choice of which teams I want to go to," said Fleury while speaking with RDS in French. "I can take my time, but not too much because in another city, I would have to find a house and a school. It's a matter of finding the timing and the perfect place for my family and me."

Fleury didn't say whether there's been an offer from Wild GM Bill Guerin, but he didn't seem worried about it.

"I spoke with Bill Guerin before leaving. We have a good relationship, we played together, so it's easy on that side," said Fleury, while adding that he loved it in Minnesota.

Should he make it to free agency, there will be plenty of speculation over whether the future Hall-of-Famer would consider signing with the Montreal Canadiens. Fleury was born and raised in Sorel-Tracy, just an hour away from Montreal. Fleury said he has no issue listening if they come calling, but he's hopeful to see the return of Carey Price.

"It could be an option, but it's not yet. Carey finished this season and I hope he is okay to come back next season."

That's anything but a foregone conclusion at this point. If Price can't start the season, or ends up on long-term injured reserve, Montreal will be forced to address what would be a major hole in its lineup at some point.
