The National Hockey League's Scouting Combine got underway on Monday and teams will meet with prospects to interview them and get some final information before they make their selection(s) on July 7th and 8th in Montreal.

According to Guillaume Lepage, the management staff of the Montreal Canadiens will be meeting with projected top-three pick Juraj Slafkovsky at some point this week.

"Juraj Slafkovsky will obviously have an interview with the #Habs this week, but he hasn't received an invitation to dinner so far. #NHLCombine"

Slafkovsky, 18, has taken the hockey world by storm in 2022, most notably for his efforts at the Winter Olympics in Beijing in February. He was named tournament MVP for putting up seven goals in seven games, leading Slovakia to the bronze medal, their first-ever medal at the Olympics.

The Kosice native then went to represent his country once again at the 2022 World Championship in Finland where he tallied nine points (three goals, six assists) in eight games.

It's more than likely that the Canadiens will selected Shane Wright, who they met with on Monday, first overall, but Slafkovsky has certainly closed the gap with his play over the last five months.
