Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis announced on Friday afternoon that top prospect Jordan Harris will make his National Hockey League debut on Saturday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Canadiens signed Harris last Saturday after he spent four seasons in the NCAA with Northeastern University, captaining the team for the 2021-22 season. In 39 games during his final year, Harris put up 20 points (5 goals, 15 assists), 14 penalty minutes, and was a plus-11.
With Harris coming into the line-up it means someone will have to draw out, that person being Chris Wideman, St. Louis also mentioned on Friday.
Puck drop for Saturday night's 2021 Stanley Cup Final rematch is set for 7 p.m. ET on CityTV and Sportsnet East.
