A bit of an odd situation in Thursday night's game between the Winnipeg Jet and Toronto Maple Leafs. The game had been an intense one, with lots of scuffles and jaw-jacking all night long. Near the end of the third period, with the teams lining up for a faceoff, referee Dan O'Rourke decided he'd take some steps to prevent the game from getting out of hand with little time left to go.

Winnipeg's Adam Lowry, who loves mixing it up, was set to take the draw but got kicked out of the faceoff circle. He then took a position right next to Toronto's Wayne Simmonds. That got O'Rourke's attention right away and he decided to send both off the ice and to the locker room before all hell broke loose. Lowry wasn't happy with the decision, and you can see him yelling in the video "we didn't do anything!" Simmonds seemed to take it in stride.
