There aren't a lot of people that are happy with Mark Scheifele's antics during Tuesday night's game against the Montreal Canadiens. One name you can add to that list is former NHL referee, Tim Peel.

In a post on Twitter on Thursday morning, Peel said, "Zero respect for Mark Scheifele. What he did to Jake Evans last year was brutal. He has never had any respect for the Officials either. Way to go Chris Wideman! Much respect for you!! #winnipegjets #hockeyfights #nhl"

Canadiens forward Josh Anderson also wasn't happy with how Scheifele acted, saying he's looking forward to the next time Montreal plays Winnipeg, which won't be until April 11th.

"I think Wides [Wideman] did a good job winning; we didn't like the reaction he [Scheifele] had towards the end of the game. Good thing we play them one more time this year," Anderson said post-game on Tuesday.

Prior to Tuesday's game, Scheifele told reporters that he would answer the bell if Jake Evans wanted to fight in response to the hit during last year's Stanley Cup playoffs. Evans responded during his own media availability by saying he just wants to move on, saying that the retribution was by winning the series over Winnipeg last spring.

It's hard to say if the fight between Wideman and Scheifele was in regards to that fight. Given that the Canadiens just gave up four straight goals, were down 8-4, I personally think it was more out of frustration on Wideman's part, than seeking retribution for his teammate.
