Dmytro Timashov, who played in the NHL with three different teams, found himself getting ejected from a game in the Swedish Hockey League Saturday after delivering what was deemed an illegal check to the head. The hit was delivered in a game between Brynas and Vaxjo, and was delivered to another former NHLer in Joel Kellman. Here are a couple of different angles. The penalty was initially called boarding, but later changed to an illegal head hit.

Kellman was ok, but did an interview during the intermission of the game showing that he lost a couple of teeth on the hit.

Timashov spent most of his time in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs, although he also had stints with the Detroit Red Wings and New York Islanders. He started playing in the SHL this season. Kellman spent all of his time in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks, but requested that his contract be terminated earlier this season in order to return to his home country to play hockey.
