Just one shift after scoring the go-ahead goal in a game versus the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night, Edmonton Oilers forward Jesse Puljujarvi got tangled up and was forced to leave the game with a lower-body injury.

Unfortunately for both Puljujarvi and the Oilers, it doesn't appear to be a short term issue, as the team announced on Friday that he is expected to miss roughly four weeks with the ailment. After going through a slump through January and part of February, he was beginning to get back on track with points in three of his last four.

Though the injury makes the Oilers a weaker team, there is still plenty for their fan base to be optimistic about. They are getting more scoring thanks to the addition of Evander Kane, and the team appears rejuvenated under head coach Jay Woodcroft. Through their last 12 games, they own a record of 9-2-1.
