It appears even the KHL doesn't want former NHLer Reid Boucher. The 28-year-old recently pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl when he was 17. Now, he's been kicked off his team.
On Friday, Yaroslavl Lokomotiv announced that the forward's contract has been terminated. Boucher was sentenced to four years of probation and a one-year suspended sentence, if he completes the probation period without any incidents, earlier this month.
Boucher was having a decent year in the KHL before their season was paused due to COVID-19. He tallied 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 46 games. While the regular season won't be resuming, Yaroslavl Lokomotiv will be participating in the playoffs once they start in March. Standings were based on win percentages at the time of the pause.
