Scott Harrington, the former defenseman for the Pittsburgh Penguins, has now teamed up with the ZSC Lions in Switzerland's National League. The Lions confirmed the signing of Harrington for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

Drafted in 2011
Harrington, now 30, was the Penguins' second-round pick (54th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft. He played for the Penguins for three seasons, making 10 NHL appearances in the 2014-15 season without scoring.

In a notable 2015 trade, Harrington, along with other assets, was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs, a move that sent the well-liked forward Phil Kessel to the Penguins. The Kingston, Ontario native, who plays left-handed, has also been on the roster for the Columbus Blue Jackets, San Jose Sharks, and Anaheim Ducks. Over 255 games played, he managed 59 points and 87 penalty minutes.
