Michele Basso Tragically Passes Away
It was announced that Michele Basso, a former World Junior Championship competitor for team Italy, has tragically passed away at 26.
Former Italian World Junior Championship member, and Italian league defenseman, Michele Basso has unfortunately passed away at the age of 26 after a long battle with a disease.
Basso was once one of the most promising prospects in all of Italian hockey posting 23 points in 21 U20 Italian games. He also played in the top Italian men's league in his final year of playing back in 2016.
Basso was ultimately forced to end his playing days early due to his disease and seven years later the disease has taken his life.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this moment. May he rest in peace.
