Arizona Coyotes now have their new home for the next three years (or longer)

According to Arizona Coyotes reporter Craig Morgan, the team will officially play the next three seasons (at least) out of the home arena of Arizona State University (ASU).

This idea had been discussed weeks ago, with many suggesting it wouldn't work due to the fact ASU's arena seats only roughly 5,000 people. However, according to Morgan, the AZ Board of Regents has approved the plan, and that the multipurpose arena at ASU will be completed by October. Those costs will all be covered by the team, and they are expected to pay up front for the restructuring.

The timeline for how long the Coyotes could be at this arena depends on the proposal they are waiting to hear back on in regards to a new arena in Tempe. Even it is approved, however, they will be playing out of ASU for a minimum of three seasons.
