Players like Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras are bringing a level of creativity to the game that hasn't been seen before. One player who loves the creative plays from Zegras is NHL legend and Hockey Hall of Famer, Wayne Gretzky.

"Individually, I can't do the things that these kids do. We didn't do all this individual stuff," Wayne Gretzky said on Wednesday night. "They do it from a young age and they get good at it, and they incorporate that into the game, which is wonderful for the game."

One play Gretzky was referring to was during last weekend's NHL All-Star Skills Competition. Zegras was invited by the league to participate in the Breakaway Challenge, which was brought back for the first time since 2016. He did not disappoint, dressing up in an "Average Joes" costume from the movie, Dodgeball, as well as being blindfolded.

He added, "It's good for the game because kids love it. And good for them that they can do that."
