Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price addressed the media on Sunday evening for the first time during the 2021-22 season.

Price was asked if he would consider a fresh start for him and his family by waiving his no movement clause to facilitate a trade.

"Me and my family are very happy here. We're settled in. This is our home. There's a reason I signed the contract I did here with a no-movement clause. As of right now I have no plans to be anywhere else." Price said.

The 34-year-old has yet to play during the 2021-22 season after having a procedure on his knee in the summer and entering the NHL/NHLA Player Assistance Program in October. Upon his return from that program, Price began his rehab on his knee and was working towards a return to the crease.

After a setback caused by the NHL's extended holiday break and the Canadiens' own COVID-19 shutdown, Price returned to the ice yesterday, skating for ten minutes doing mostly lower-body work. He also skated on Sunday, this time for fifteen minutes. He says it's his intention to play this season.
