The Swedish Hockey League has decided on a suspension and fine for Juhani Tyrväinen of Luleå after a sucker punch to the head of Frolunda's captain, Joel Lundqvist. For anyone unfamiliar, Joel is the twin brother of former NHLer Henrik Lundqvist.

The incident happened during a game on Thursday. Lundqvist was digging for a puck that appeared to be underneath Tyrväinen, who was on his knees. Tyrväinen was not happy with the digging by Lundqvist and sucker punched him in the head while Lundqvist was mixing it up with one of Tyrväinen's teammates.

The suspension is two games, while Tyrväinen will also pay a fine of 26,500 SEK, the equivalent of just under $3000 USD.

Lundqvist, 39, played 134 games in the NHL, all with the Dallas Stars after being drafted by the team in the third round in 2000. He has spent the remainder of his career in Sweden and just signed a contract extension for another season after this one. Tyrväinen has spent his entire pro career in Finland and Sweden.
