On December 29th, Chicago Blackhawks defencemen Connor Murphy and Caleb Jones went out for dinner a few blocks away from the United Center at around 8pm. They dropped their keys off to the valet in front of the restaurant and went on their way.

A short while later a thief, armed with some sort of object, approached the valet and stuck the object in their back demanding the keys to Murphy and Jones' cars, local law enforcement told TMZ Sports.

"Murphy's 2017 Porsche Panamera and Jones' 2021 Jeep Trackhawk were both taken. When new, the Panamera runs about $100K+ and the Trackhawk, $90K+," the TMZ article said.

Chicago Police are currently investigating the alleged crimes. It remains unclear if Murphy and Jones were targeted or if the theft was random act.

The video below shows the thief stealing Murphy's 2017 Porsche Panamera, while it doesn't appear there is a video released as of yet of Jones' vehicle being taken.
