Canadiens have yet another game postponed by the NHL

According to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports, the Montreal Canadiens home game scheduled for Saturday, January 15th against the New Jersey Devils has been postponed.

"It's finally official, the @CanadiensMTL game at home January 15 vs @NJDevils is postponed. Next game at Bell Center is schedule January 27 vs @AnaheimDucks and hope is fans are going to be allowed to be back in the stands," Lavoie said.

By the time Montreal comes back to the Bell Centre on January 27th, they will have had a season-high ten-game road trip.

- December 28th in Tampa Bay.
- December 30th in Carolina.
- January 1st in Florida.
- January 12th in Boston.
- January 13th in Chicago.
- January 17th in Arizona.
- January 18th in Dallas.
- January 20th in Vegas.
- January 22nd in Colorado.
- January 24th in Minnesota.

Currently, the Canadiens have twenty-two players and two staff member in the National Hockey League's COVID-19 protocol. Their team facilities are set to re-open on Friday, but given the amount of players they have on the NHL's protocol list, it's likely that may get pushed back by a couple of days, although that hasn't been confirmed.

Montreal's next game is set for Wednesday, January 12th in Boston against the Bruins. The habs added another two players, Cam Hillis and Michael Pezzetta, to COVID protocol Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Sportsnet has announced that the Hockey Day in Canada festival scheduled for January 29th has been postponed.
