Three days before they take to the ice at Target Field for the 2022 Winter Classic, the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild have agreed to a minor deal according to CapFriendly.

The Minnesota Wild have acquired forward Nolan Stevens from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for forward Will Bitten.

Stevens, 25, was a fifth round pick of the St. Louis Blues in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He's spent the 2021-22 season in the American Hockey League with the Springfield Thunderbirds. In 20 games with the Thunderbirds, Stevens has twelve points (three goals, nine assists), ten penalty minutes and is a plus-three. Nolan's dad, John, is currently an assistant coach for the Dallas Stars.

Bitten, 23, was originally a third round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2016, before being dealt to the Minnesota Wild in October 2018. In 23 games for Minnesota's AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild, Bitten has eight points (three goals, five assists), six penalty minutes and is a minus-sixteen.
