Yesterday, the IIHF announced that the United States would have to forfeit their game against Switzerland after two of their players tested positive for COVID-19. Flash forward to Wednesday morning and now it appears that a second game will be cancelled due to positive COVID-19 tests.

Corey Pronman of The Athletic reported earlier that the Finland/Czechia game may be in doubt and that the issue is on the Czechia side. Adding to that, TSN's Bob McKenzie said that the announcement of the forfeited game is coming.

Update: the announcement has now been made. Finland wins the game 1-0 as Czechia forfeits.

Czechia is also scheduled to play tomorrow afternoon against Austria, a game which will now likely decide the last quarter-final spot in Group A. Czechia currently has 1pt, while the Austrians have zero. Although, that game could be in jeopardy depending on how further testing goes today and tomorrow morning.
