NHL postpones several upcoming games because of attendance restrictions; another moves locations

The National Hockey League has made the decision to postpone nine upcoming games that are taking place in Canada due to attendance restrictions. Here are the postponements as listed by the NHL. In addition, one game that was set to take place in Canada has been moved:

Friday, Dec. 31 - Pittsburgh @ Ottawa, Winnipeg @ Calgary

Monday, Jan. 3 - Carolina @ Toronto

Tuesday, Jan. 4 - Washington @ Montreal

Thursday, Jan. 6 - Toronto @ Montreal

Saturday, Jan. 8 - Buffalo @ Montreal, Seattle @ Winnipeg

Monday, Jan. 10 - Columbus @ Montreal, Minnesota @ Winnipeg

Meanwhile, the Boston-Montreal game on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at Bell Centre will now be played at TD Garden in Boston. A make-up date for the Montreal Canadiens' home game against the Boston Bruins will be announced at a later date, as well as new dates for the nine games that have been postponed.

It had been previously announced that wednesday's game between the Detroit Red Wings and New York islanders has also been postponed.
