Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand is terribly upset over the fact that the NHL is not allowing its players to go to the Olympics, and now, he is fuming even more that the league is picking and choosing when to change the rules.
Marchand went to Twitter to show how upset he was in a long, heartfelt rant relating to the taxi squads and the Olympics.
«The NHL and NHLPA can change the rules of the CBA to add a taxi squad so that they don't miss any games and don't lose any moneywhich has already been agreed upon that the players will pay back in escrow until the owners are made whole from what they have lost during this pandemic, regardless how many games are missedyet they can't do a taxi squad during the Olympics so they can honor the agreement they made so the NHL players can goplease tell me that's not bulls**tand for all of you who want to pipe back about forfeiting pay while being gone yah not a problemlet the players make their choice.»
Even though many people in the hockey world are not fans of Brad Marchand, he raises a lot of good points for NHL players. It seems as if everything is yet again about money, rather than the feelings of the league's own players.
