If allowed to go, he will likely be Finland's best player and quite possibly one of the best players at the entire World Juniors. However, as it stands right now, New York Islanders prospect Aatu Räty is stuck in Finland after missing the deadline to come to Canada due to having to isolate. His team is trying to change that.

According to Michael Anderson, the editor of the Eyes on Isles website, Finland believes Räty should be able to play despite missing the deadline, as the entire Canadian team was not at the site in Edmonton by last Thursday either. Yet, no one with Team Canada has been told they can't play.

Finland is also hoping to get Rami Määttä over to Canada. He missed the deadline for the same reason as Räty. The 19-year-old defender is playing with Ässät of the Finnish Elite League this season.

Räty is playing for Jukurit Mikkeli of SM-Liiga. He has six goals and 13 points in 11 games. It is expected that a decision will be made on their fate in the next day or so.
