Another first round pick has requested a trade away from the Boston Bruins. After 2015 14th overall pick Jake deBrusk asked the Bruins for a trade at the end of November, the player taken directly after him at the 15th spot is also asking to leave the team.

"It's been a long journey with Boston and Providence. Obviously, I'm super-thankful to everyone in Providence for all of their help in the development of my game, but I want to play in the NHL. I feel like I haven't been given that opportunity in the Bruins organization," Zach Senyshyn said in an interview with Rinkside Rhode Island.

"I feel like my game has gotten to that level where I'm ready to play and I'm ready to make an impact. With the way the Bruins organization has been going, it just doesn't seem like I'm in the mix," Senyshyn continued.

Senyshyn has played just 14 games with the Bruins since being drafted, scoring one goal and two assists. He's played 213 regular season games with Providence, netting 48 goals and 92 points.

Interestingly enough, both DeBrusk and Senyshyn are represented by the same agency, Octagon Hockey.

Senyshyn, who is an assistant captain with the Providence Bruins, said he will continue to report to the team until a trade can be arranged, adding he wants to keep developing as a player.

"My biggest priority is getting my game to be the best it can be and that's going to be by playing and being a good leader and teammate and doing all those things. It won't be by sitting at home," insisted Senyshyn. "My focus is still on developing my game and helping my team, but I'm just at the point now where I'm ready for that change."
