Nashville's social media team takes funny jab at the Islanders' Mat Barzal
Like more than 70 other NHLers, Mat Barzal of the New York Islanders hit the league's COVID protocol recently. The Nashville Predators Twitter account decided to have a bit of fun with his ordeal getting back to Long Island on Tuesday night.
At the time he was put on the list, Barzal was in Detroit and was not able to travel home with the rest of the team. Isles' head coach Barry Trotz was asked the next day where Barzal was and, well, he honestly wasn't sure.
It was innocent enough, but Barzal being lost became a bit of a meme for a couple of days.
The Preds Twitter account decided to join the fun on Thursday with a pretty straightforward Tweet.
It seems it's never been said whether he actually made it home. We're rootin' for you, Barzy!
