The Detroit Red Wings announced late Monday evening that they have come to terms on a multi-year extension with forward Robby Fabbri.

Per the team's official Twitter account, Fabbri has been locked up for 3 more seasons at $4M per season, which seems like a lofty amount, given Fabbri's lengthy injury history.

Fabbri has not missed a game for the Red Wings this season, but has yet to play a full season in the NHL, topping out at 72 games during his rookie year in St. Louis in 2015-16. He has only exceeded the 50-game mark in two of his last five seasons.

The 25-year-old has 8 goals and 14 points with the Red Wings through 28 games this season.
