It's clear Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour is not happy with his punishment from the league. Brind'Amour was recently fined $25,000 for "inappropriate conduct" after losing it on the officials during a game against the Washington Capitals on Sunday. Already down a man on the ice, Sebastian Aho was called for a slash that Brind'Amour seemed to feel was unwarranted.

After staying quiet for a couple of days, Brind'Amour has reacted to the fine by saying he feels he can no longer be himself behind the bench.

"I was shocked," said Brind'Amour.

"I took the job thinking that you could be yourself, thinking I could tell you guys really what I feel in a game or about a game, and now you clearly can't. So there you go."

Outspoken player agent Allen Walsh recently revealed a memo that was sent to teams back in October from the NHL stating it does not want coaches and GMs to criticize the officiating in the league. The punishment is hefty fines. You can find details of the memo here.
