Three weeks after having successful artificial disk replacement surgery, Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel has resumed skating.

The 25-year-old was acquired by the Vegas Golden Knights in early-November after a rocky off-season between himself and the Buffalo Sabres. Eichel only played twenty-one games last season before suffering the neck injury. The Sabres were adamant that Eichel not have the surgery because it's never been done on an NHL player before, but Eichel wanted to.

The relationship between Eichel and the Sabres organization deteriorated to the point where he requested a trade. His request was ultimately granted on November 4th, shipping him to Vegas in a package that saw Buffalo receive Alex Tuch and Peyton Krebs.

It's unclear when Eichel will return, but he indicated before surgery that he expects to be back after three months, which would put him on track for a debut with the Vegas Golden Knights after the Olympic break.
