The Montreal Canadiens will return to the ice on Thursday night after not playing since Monday against Vancouver. Montreal went on to lose that game by a score of 2-1, and ahead of Thursday's tilt with Colorado, head coach Dominique Ducharme shuffled his lines.

Nick Suzuki will remain on the third line for tonight's game, while rookie forward Cole Caufield has been demoted to the fourth line. Additionally, rookie defenceman Mattias Norlinder will be scratched for a second consecutive game.

Brett Kulak will return to the line-up after missing the last four games with a lower-body injury.

Brendan Gallagher and Sami Niku have entered the NHL's COVID-19 protocol, the Canadiens announced this morning.
