In a rather puzzling decision, the Nashville Predators announced on Wednesday that starting on Nov. 13, they will no longer require proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests to attend games.

This decision comes surprisingly quick given that they only enforced these mandates just a few short months ago. It isn't as though they have been hurting for attendance either, as they have averaged over 17,000 through their first six games of the season, which ranks 14th in the league.

Masks will also not be required, but are 'strongly recommended' when attending games. This will certainly be a controversial decision and one that many won't be happy with. It will be interesting to see whether or not they choose to change their stance, or perhaps if other teams follow their lead. Currently the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, L.A. Kings, Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks, Seattle Kraken, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, and the Winnipeg Jets all demand either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.
