After the Montreal Canadiens made the surprising move of sending rising superstar Cole Caufield to the minors, a new youngster had to be recalled. The lucky Laval Rocket that was recalled to the big club was Michael Pezetta, and he was more than thankful for the opportunity to play with the Habs.
Pezzetta went to Instagram to post his appreciation in a post that was very heartfelt after living the dream for the first time.
«Thank you to everyone who's supported me and always believed that one day I would make it to the NHL. I got to live my dream yesterday and it meant the world to be able to do it in front of my family and friends...Time for some more work!»
The 23-year-old had six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in eight games with Laval before making his debut with the Canadiens, but us better known as a fiesty presence on the ice who has no issues with dropping the gloves. Pezzetta hopes to make an impact on a Canadiens team that has struggled to start the season.
