The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced on Sunday that Philadelphia Flyers forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel has been fined $2,687.50 for kneeing Florida Panthers forward Mason Marchment.

The incident occurred early in the third period of Saturday night's contest. Marchment was with the puck in the Florida's zone when Aube-Kubel skated towards the Panthers forward and stuck out his left leg. Aube-Kubel received a two-minute minor on the play for tripping.

This is the second time Aube-Kubel has been fined by the Department of Player Safety in 2021. Back in January, he received a $4,633.62 fine for roughing Buffalo Sabres defenceman Rasmus Dahlin.

In four games this season, the Slave Lake, Alberta native has no points, four penalty minutes, and is a minus-four.
