The IIHF continued their announcements on Thursday, releasing the names of the first three players on each participating nation at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

"In advance of NHL player participation in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China, the IIHF together with the NHL/NHLPA have requested all participating teams to provide a list of three provisional NHL players to be included in the men's Olympic national team roster," the IIHF said on Thursday.

They added, "Provided these players are healthy and remain eligible to participate in the Olympic Games, they will be included in the final team rosters that will be announced in January 2022."

For the Czech Republic, their first three players are Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ondrej Palat, and Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jakub Voracek.

Pastrnak, 25, last represented the Czechs at the 2018 IIHF World Hockey Championships where he had six points in five games.

Palat, 30, last represented his nation at the 2019 IIHF World Hockey Championship, tallying two points in ten games. Palat played for the Czechs at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Finally, Voracek, the veteran of the trio named today, last played for the Czech Republic at the 2019 IIHF World Championship. He was named captain of the team and finished tied for second in tournament scoring with 16 points in ten games. Voracek also played at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
