The Chicago Blackhawks were one of the busiest teams of the offseason, adding some high end talent in players like Marc-Andre Fleury and Seth Jones.

Despite the changes, however, many are still hesitant on whether or not they will be a playoff team in 2021-22. Speaking with media on Wednesday, forward Patrick Kane made it clear where he stands on the debate.

"A lot of good players, from goalies to the back end to the forwards, so I think coming into this year, it's probably a different year than years in the past where I think there's a lot more confidence, a lot more excitement about the team we have, the season we could have as a team," Kane said. "And it still feels like people aren't really expecting us to be a good team, or maybe better but not necessarily a playoff team. That's our goal, to prove people wrong and get in the playoffs and hopefully hit our stride."

Last season, the Blackhawks finished sixth in the Central Division with a 24-25-7 record. However, with the key additions mentioned above, along with the fact that Jonathan Toews will be back, this is a team that could catch plenty by surprise in 2021-22.
