Montreal Canadiens head coach Dominique Ducharme met with the media on Wednesday following practice and gave injury updates on Carey Price, Joel Edmundson, as well as Mattias Norlinder.

Firstly, Carey Price, who had knee surgery in the off-season and only started skating within the last seven days. Ducharme said that Price is taking a few days off of the ice to ensure his knee doesn't swell.

As for Joel Edmundson, he's been dealing with an undisclosed injury since the beginning of training camp last week and has been listed as day-to-day. Ducharme expected Edmundson to have been with the main group by now, but he is feeling good one day, and not so great the next, adding that he doesn't want to rush him back.

Lastly, defenceman Mattias Norlinder picked up a minor injury in Monday's 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Ducharme told reporters that Norlinder is day-to-day and will not play in either of Montreal's games this weekend against Ottawa.

The Canadiens are back in action on Friday night when they travel to Ottawa to take on the Senators. Puck drop is set for 7pm ET and the game can be viewed on TSN2, TSN5, and RDS.
