Another chapter was written on the Jack Eichel situation on Thursday as general manager Kevyn Adams stripped the 24-year-old of the captaincy after he failed his pre-training camp physical.

It's clear that Eichel wants to move on from Buffalo, and go to a team for not only a fresh start, but one that will allow him to have the surgery he wants to have.

According to Nick Kypreos, Eichel is willing to go anywhere to allow a trade to happen, and upwards of six teams are currently involved.

"Eichel has made it clear he's willing to go anywhere to facilitate a trade. One of 1/2 doz teams involved tell me a trade is doable as long as the @BuffaloSabres are willing to add «conditional» clauses around how he performs after surgery. ie, games played, scoring etc," Kypreos said in a tweet on Friday morning.

The quicker a trade can get done, the happier both the Sabres and Eichel will be. Buffalo's price would have to come down as they were reportedly asking for multiple first-round picks, prospects and an NHL-ready player during the summer. Given the urgency to move Eichel, teams will more than likely offer a lot less to acquire him, possibly only a prospect and a roster player, and as Kypreos mentioned, conditional picks.
