Newly acquired Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Antti Raanta thought it would be good to show his sense of humor early in his tenure with his new team. Raanta, who was brought in this offseason after signing a 2-year, $2 million AAV contract, found out that he will not be able to escape kids even when coming to the team's practices.

Raanta joked about some of his teammates when talking to the media on Thursday.

«I have two kids at home and three at the rink."

The 32-year-old was referring to forwards Sebastian Aho (24), Teuvo Teravainen (27), and recently acquired Jesperi Kotkaniemi (21). Considering Teravainen is only about five years younger than him, people have to wonder if it is the players' childish nature and not just their age. Of course, this can help spark older players, as it almost works as a fountain of youth which could rejuvenate a veteran's game.

Raanta will be looking to bounce back after a somewhat down year last season where he posted a 5-5-2 record with a 3.36 GAA and .905 save percentage with the Arizona Coyotes last season. He should be in a much better place to do so with the Hurricanes, who have built a very good team over the past couple of seasons.
