Brad Marchand is certainly one of the more recognizable names around the National Hockey League - not just because he plays on the edge, and sometimes over it, but also because he has shown himself to be a dominant player in the league on many occasions.

Marchand, 33, may not be the oldest guy on his team, or even on his line, but when guys start to creep towards their mid-30's, people start asking the question, "how many years does he have left?".

Marchand had the opportunity to answer that question on Thursday, and it is evident in his response that he hasn't lost his sense of humour.

«Until they boot me out of the league," Marchand told the media. "Which, with my history, could be tomorrow.»

Marchand has done it all - from slew-footing, to cross-checking, to spearing, to licking (wait.. what?!), but that certainly is not his entire game. In fact, when Marchand isn't busy being the league's most valuable pest, he actually produces elite offense.

Marchand is coming off of 5-consecutive seasons with more than a point-per-game (426 points in his last 350 games, if you can believe it), and will look to expand on his offensive totals again this season with what looks to be yet another powerhouse Bruins team, at least on paper.

While he may not be a fan-favourite around the league, there are surely a few million hockey fans who wouldn't mind it if Marchand was playing for their city's team. Luckily for Bruins fans, he's all theirs.
